Formation and History
Like any club, WLR started as a group of riders that love speed and competition. Fueled by a local craving for such events, we put together our first schedule non-sanctioned event in 2006 that drew a few hundred people to witness this unconventional type of racing known as Ice Racing. Since then we have organized and grown year to year hosting bigger and better events with each successive season. To date we have become one of the largest events of this type in the nation and awarded over 300 trophies and number plates and over 100k in prizes!

Mission
Our first and foremost goal at WLR is to host organized professional events that give back to the riders.
As a rider and participant, I know that the expense involved to compete in events like these can be overwhelming.
By organizing with local business as well as aftermarket factories, we try to make sure everyone leaves with something.
Going Forward
Unfortunately due to me being deployed overseas, we were unable to have an event for 2011. On the brighter side, this will allow us to build steam for 2012. For the 2012 event, my goal is to have a weekend long event, which would include Friday Night Lights exhibition cash classes, and incorporate ATV Drag Races on Saturday.
Weather is always the greatest challenge to overcome in this sport. I’m looking for a way to keep riders updated on track conditions in the days leading up to events.
